Patient Spotlight: Marc Daniel

Hi, my name is Marc Daniel. I am a client of Jon Herting’s and I started seeing Jon due to a herniated disc, which he helped me get through a lot of pain and discomfort.
Until then I had surgery and after surgery Jon helped me manage post op care and then after that helped me get through some times where pain had recurred. I chose Jon over other opportunities or other physical therapists because his techniques were innovative and out of the common, you know, typical physical therapy kind of programs. He performed things that helped get me back to performing in my profession, which I happen to be a veterinarian so I am often on my feet and bending over and managing dogs and cats and in various ways.
So it’s been a pleasure working with Jon and being helped by him. His bedside manner is fantastic and his follow up is even much better than many other organizations I have used in the past for physical therapy.

Patient Spotlight: Suzanne Daniel

Hi, I’m Suzanne. I have been a client at Precision Performance for a couple of months now. I started going there because I was frustrated with chronic hip pain. I had been running a lot and finally gave it up because the pain was just relentless. The longer the miles, the worse the pain and I just wasn’t recovering. So I started a strength training program, started getting a little bit of relief but it didn’t go away. So they referred me, my strength training programmer referred me to Jon Herting at PP. For the first time in many years of physical therapy I felt like someone really heard me. They really evaluated my whole lifestyle and really wanted me to get back to doing what I wanted to do.
So I have been working consistently with Jon for probably six weeks now and I feel like I’m finally getting to the bottom of the problem. I am pain free which is awesome and looking forward to being able to maintain that health long term and not have this recurrence of continental injury. So, now I know before it gets bad, I need to stop in and see them and get advice on how to prevent a chronic condition. They’ve taught me so much about how I personally move.
One thing that has encouraged me working with them is that I felt like every time going and seeing the same therapist, I didn’t have to feel responsible for my own care. They were in charge, they were leading, and they were teaching me how to be healthy.
I have been to other physical therapy places where I felt like I never knew who was going to treat me and I had to remind them what was working, what wasn’t working. When they asked how have you been I felt like it was because they really didn’t know who I was. But I know when I walk in there that this team knows who I am and that they are following my care and have the same goals I do about my health and my fitness and so I’m grateful.

Patient Spotlight: Jessica Feldman

Patient Spotlight: Jessica Feldman

Jessica Feldman is a senior at West Chester University and has been a competitive cheerleader for the last 13 years. She is also a member of the West Chester club gymnastics team and coaches. It was while coaching cheerleading about four years ago that she injured her ankle. The injury prevented her from being able to participate in her own gymnastics. For many gymnasts an injury like this is career ending and Jessica was afraid that was going to be the case for her. That was when she started working with Precision Performance Physical Therapy.
A friend of hers, who is also a gymnast, had worked with Precision Performance in the past and recommended us to Jessica. For the past four years we have worked with Jessica on and off to overcome various injuries and to keep her active in the sport she loves! Working with us has allowed her to extend her participation in gymnastics far past when she thought she would need to give it up.
We strive to create a welcoming environment for all of our patients. To make sure they feel comfortable as well as informed about their treatments. Knowing that we were there to help get her back on her feet if she was injured gave her the confidence to keep competing. Knowing that there is someone who not only knows your personal history, but cares about you reaching your goals, can be the difference between continuing with confidence and leaving a sport because you are scared of getting hurt. This is the type of support we believe is the heart and soul of a good physical therapist.
Our patients are at the center of all that we do and we are so proud to have helped Jessica be able to continue to compete and participate in something she loves. If you would like to learn more about our approach to Physical Therapy and how we can help you overcome pain or injury, contact us today!

Patient Spotlight: Bonnie Caraisco

Patient Spotlight: Bonnie Caraisco

Bonnie Carasico is a 50 year old weightlifter who started in the sport 5 years ago with a personal trainer through her gym. She focuses on Oly Lifting and is working hard to get better at the sport. About 3 years ago she started experiencing shoulder pain that limited her overhead lifting ability and started working with Precision Performance Physical Therapy to move past the pain and to continue to improve.
She was frustrated by being plateaued by pain and ready to push forward. Her coach at the time referred her to Precision Performance as he had worked with us in the past. It started out as just trying to eliminate pain, but her journey with us taught her how interconnected the body is tha the importance of a holistic and personalized approach to physical therapy.
At other clinics she felt like a number or a box to be checked. Her plan of care felt general based on the reported injury, and not at all tailored to her actual needs. Precision Performance tailors every plan to the patient and pulls in different exercises and techniques to help heal and strengthen the whole body. This can include things like dry needling, which is something that worked for Bonnie. The trainers also explain the treatment options, why they are choosing them, and how they will help. They want you to be informed about your care.
Through working with Precision Performance, Bonnie has been able to continue to improve her performance. She knows she can come in and receive treatment as needed and get exactly what her body needs to overcome pain and get stronger. He was really impressed with the fact that we don’t treat patients according to a preset one-size-fits-all approach. Instead she can come in for one session or ten. Only what she needs to get better.
She was also struck by how knowledgeable and attentive each trainer is to the needs of the patients. Through working with us she now is more confident in her ability to move both for her sport and for everyday life. If you are interested in learning more about how we can help you overcome pain and regain mobility, contact us. We would be happy to answer any questions you may have. We look forward to hearing from you.

Patient Spotlight: Collin Jensen

Patient Spotlight: Collin Jensen

In January of 2017, Collin had surgery on his shoulder and started working with Precision Performance Physical Therapy for his rehabilitation. As a baseball player, it was important for him to be able to return to playing the game he loves especially as he had an opportunity to play in college. Recently he has started working with us on a percisent back injury that forced him to take time away from the game after his freshman year.
First his shoulder surgery and now his back injury left him feeling helpless and unsure of his ability to return to baseball. Faced with the possibility of ending his college sports career, he has been diligently working with the Precision Performance team. His goal is to return to playing once he is stronger, happier, and healthier.
Working with Precision Performance has restored Collin’s confidence in his ability to play again. While he isn’t quite ready to hit the field, his back is now pain free and he is working on  building his strength and health up to be able to play in his junior year. He has come to understand that it’s not about the results, but the process of reaching your goals. If you embrace the grind, you will get to where you need to be.
One of the things that stuck out to Collin about working with Precision Performance was in the care that the therapists took to get to know him and his goals and to provide the individual support he needed to succeed. From the moment he began working with them, he knew that he was more than a patient, he was part of the Precision Performance family.
Colin is eager to get to play again, and knows that Precision Performance will help him meet that goal. We know that every person who works with us is different and needs an approach that is built for them. We don’t believe in treating an injury, we believe in treating the whole person and supporting them through their journey. If you would like to know more about our approach to physical therapy, contact us today. We would love to set up an appointment to go over your needs and goals and put together a program to get you to where you need to be.

Patient Spotlight: Maria & Bob Fudula

"One thing that surprised me the most was about how much they really care about their clients. If you miss an appointment they follow up with you right away and if you need an emergency visit they fit you in immediately."Maria and Bob Fudula have been active and passionate about fitness for most of their lives. It wasn’t until their 40’s however that they began to do CrossFit.

Over the last year, they have both suffered injuries that required surgery to repair. Four weeks after their surgeries, they started working with Precision Performance Physical Therapy to rehabilitate and get back to their love of CrossFit.  Since both of them had surgeries that impacted their shoulders, it meant that they were limited in what they could do as far as CrossFit goes since there is a lot of overhead lifting as well as gymnastic like movements involved. Not being able to perform the way wanted to and were used to was frustrating for both of them, but they were glad for the support of each other and the team at Precision Performance.

Their main goal when they came to work with Precision Performance was to simply recover from their surgeries and get back to where they were before they were injured, and maybe a little stronger.  They have been working with us for over 6 months now and while their road to recovery isn’t over yet, they are able to work out in their home gym using programs customized specifically for them, their fitness levels, and goals.

For them, choosing Precision Performance for their physical therapy came down to our approach to treating every patient as the individual they are. There is no one size fits all method to recovery. We also offer flexibility in our scheduling and options for appointments so you can see a physical therapist without disrupting the other aspects of your life.

Working with Precision Performance has given Bob and Maria confidence in their ability to train daily, and tools to keep them safe and to keep working towards their goals. If you would like to learn more about our service, please contact us! We look forward to working with you.
